The current 433 space car park layout is very inefficient. Some parking spaces are below current national parking standards. And the circulation pattern can mean delays for users entering/exiting the car park whilst cars navigate around it.

By improving wayfinding, partially reconfiguring the car park’s layout, and building a first floor extension over the existing ground floor parking on Harestone Valley Road, another 118 parking spaces could be delivered helping address the wider parking pressure in the town centre.

These parking improvements would provide a total of 551 spaces, an increase of 27%.

These extra parking spaces would be allocated between shoppers, shopping centre staff parking and some overflow parking for residents.

The car park would stay open later into the evening to service the night time economy created by the
cinema and restaurants.

At basement level, there would be a further 92 parking spaces for those living in the apartments. This would include a dedicated car club for residents, bookable through the 24/7 concierge. A further 43 spaces will be allocated in the car park for overflow residents parking. Residents would also have access to 183 secure cycle parking spaces.
