The new public square would be 20 x 30 metres covering an area of around 600 sq m (6458 sq ft), larger than a typical tennis court in size.

The public square would be surrounded by four of the new retail units which would be let to restaurant operators, aimed specifically at a ‘family dining offer’ with target brands such as Carluccios, Café Rouge, Bills, and Nandos.

The square faces south and so it would be a very light and sunny spot for outdoor dining in the warmer months.


Having tested the market for operator interest, the scheme plans for a three screen cinema with its entrance on the public square and the individual screens at basement level. Targeted operators would include:
