A planning application was submitted for the redevelopment of the Church Walk Shopping Centre in February 2019.
Ropemaker Properties would like to thank all whose who took part in the consultation. We had a very encouraging response from local residents and shoppers, with over 850 attending the public exhibition and over 300 feedback forms received.
As a result of the comments received, a number of changes were made to the application:
The total number of dwellings has been reduced from 183 to 178
The frontage of the building on Station Avenue has been scaled back so that from ground level only four storeys will be visible
An additional 124 car parking spaces will be provided, giving a ratio of spaces to apartments of 1:1
Following these changes, the designs have been submitted as a planning application to Tandridge District Council. The planning application reference number is 2019/145.
Before determining the application, the Council is currently running its own consultation on their website. You can express your views on these proposals by clicking here and clicking ‘Comment on this application’.
